Love Is All You Need ? (2012)

Love is All You Need? tells the story of Ashley, a young teen who is raised in the picture perfect all-American family with two moms, two grandpas, two uncles, and a little brother. But Ashley has a problem, she has a crush on a boy at school, which is against everything this world has ever taught her. This undeniable attraction to the opposite sex causes her to be the constant target of verbal and physical abuse until she is driven to a tragic end. This film hopes to shed light onto the highly controversial issue of human and equal rights in the LGBT Community, and also raise awareness to our current world as to the obstacles that this community faces.

Man Is A Woman (1998)

The themes that the director addresses are beautiful : homosexuality-family-religion and the pursuit of happiness (at any cost ?). Jewish musician Simon Eskenazy has made peace with his gay nature. But his conservative Jewish family expects him to carry on the family name by marriage. However he's irresistibly drawn to attractive young men, from gay sauna visitors to, surprisingly, the hunky son of a devout New York Orthodox Jewish family. Still, Simon secures his considerable inheritance by wedding Rosalie Baumann, that ideal lover's sister, a grand family affair. This 'investment' will only pay off if it produces a next generation.
Language: French, English and Yiddish with English and Greek Subtitles in separate .srt files. The film contains some hard-coded French subs for the Yiddish / English dialogues, which do not affect visibility of other subs.

Τα θέματα που θίγει ο σκηνοθέτης είναι ενδιαφέροντα : ομοφυλοφιλία-οικογένεια-θρησκεία και η επιδίωξη της ευτυχίας, με οποιοδήποτε κόστος ; O Εβραίος μουσικός Simon Eskenazy έχει αποδεχθεί τη gay φύση του. Ομως η συντηρητική εβραϊκή οικογένειά του αναμένει από αυτόν να συνεχίσει το όνομα της οικογένειας μέσω γάμου. Ωστόσο, αυτός νιώθει ακαταμάχητη έλξη για ελκυστικούς νέους άνδρες στη σάουνα. Ο Simon μπορεί να εξασφαλίσει σημαντική κληρονομιά αν παντρευτεί την Rosalie Baumann, κόρη μιάς παραδοσιακής Ορθόδοξης Εβραϊκής οικογένειας τής Νέας Υόρκης, που όμως έχει και έναν ακαταμάχητο νεαρό αδερφό. Αυτή η «επένδυση» τού Simon θα αποδώσει μόνο αν παράξει την επόμενη γενιά.
Γλώσσα: Γαλλικά, Αγγλικά και Γίντις με Αγγλικούς και Ελληνικούς υπότιτλους σε ξεχωριστούς φακέλλους .srt.
